North Wales Autograss, hosted the final round of the First ever UK Autograss Championships. A fantastic well run meeting to end the series. The Nottingham driver’s had a good Run, with Clint & Rachel Fowles Winning Class 2. Joe Martin won 5s and Simon Reeve took 3rd in 8s. Clint, Rachel, Joe, Sue Thom, and Cath Weston all took home end of series trophies.
Nottingham Autograss are also pleased to announce we are hosting Round 3 of the UK Autograss Championships in 2014.
The Juniors are growing in numbers within Nottingham Autograss. Meeting by meeting another one pops up. This is both brilliant for both the Club and the Sport.
We even have 3 Junior Specials with in the league now. Lets hope they keep coming.
Big congratulations to Louis Jackson N37 on winning the East Midlands Championship for Juniors, and Amber Thorpe taking a very good 3rd.

Autograss is the only Sport where all the family can be involved, The classes and format make it possible for Dad, Mum and son / daughter to all race the car on the same day. But within Nottingham Autograss club, we also have several families racing with the same class and racing brother against brother, father against son.
At our last meeting the Folwes brothers had their first one two in the class 2 A final, with N840 Clint taking first and N870 Adam taking second. Maybe this weekend Adam can show Clint the way round.

The Girls Produce some fantastic montages of videos, form there own filming and there saying “Eyy We Crazy” and there now trying to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Well done Girls, Great Cause.

Juniors...Last season, we had a downturn in the number of junior racers at Nottingham Autograss, This was generally due to all the juniors moving up into Mens and Ladies classes. Thankfully it’s great to see we have a new class of young enthusiastic junior drivers joining the club, that will hopefully help to continue the future of the club.
We currently have 8 Junior saloon Drivers and 1 junior special driver. Here’s 3 names to look out for:
N37 Louis Jackson aged 12, - On incredible form, in only his first full season of racing his 1L Mini. Louis took a clean sweep of 4 straight race wins at the Nottingham UKAC round 2, against a fleet of young and experience Junior Drivers. Something to be Seriously proud of. Check out his onboard footage.Onboard Footage
N122 – Amber Thorpe, She is also in her first full season of Racing using a class 1 Micra. Amber has produced some fabulous driving so far this season and has ended up making several A finals. She is currently running second in the club championship and improving all the time.
N175 – Louise Hales, Is another young junior Driver. Louise and her father shared a class 1 Citroen AX, and i believe there in their 2nd season of racing. There AX is always extremely well prepared and seriously well maintained, and you often find the Hales travelling to many clubs and tracks around the midlands. I think its fair to say they have caught the grassing bug.
In my Opinion Louise, is one of the juniors to watch, she is getting faster and quicker at every meeting she goes to as she grows in confidence and becomes comfortable within her car. She will definitely be winning races by the end of the year.
